This is PlayStation 5
Finally, on June 11, PlayStation 5 has now officially been revealed, and you’re looking at it right now. I know, it’s white with black and blue LEDs on the inside, for me it looks like a reverse Oreo cookie. By the look of the design, it looks futuristic as hell. It’s like you buy a console from an alien in outer space, judging by the design. The console advertised a vertical device, but you can change it to sit horizontally since the console comes with the stand.
The Design
“The PlayStation sits in the living area of most homes, and we kind of felt it would be nice to provide a design that would really grace most living areas. That's what we've tried to do. And, you know, we think we've been successful in that.” - Jim Ryan, SIE President
This is going to be a debate for some people since not all living rooms are futuristic like rich people have.
Digital Edition
There’re two versions of PlayStation 5, the regular PlayStation 5, and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition which is slimmer than the regular one but doesn’t have the 4K Bluray disc drive. The regular edition really affects the symmetry of the console and it bothers me a lot. In terms of price, we don’t have a price yet, but we can assume that the Digital Edition one is going to be lower than the regular edition since it doesn’t have the 4K Bluray disc drive.
