Xbox Bought Bethesda

It is official, a couple of days ago Microsoft and Xbox bought Bethesda. I know it is late for this news to come but let’s talk about it. So not only Bethesda got bought but also ZeniMax Media For starter, ZeniMax Media is the father of Bethesda, a company behind Elder Scroll, Fallout, Wolfenstein, Doom, and many more. The company is worth $7.5 billion with 2300 employees around the world, where in the past, Minecraft was worth $2.5 billion.

The biggest question is exclusivity. Will Bethesda game going to be exclusively for Xbox and Microsoft Windows? Are we going to see a sequel of Fallout: New Vegas? I cannot answer that since the deal is not final and all we can do is just wait and see. But the community is demanding an answer and they’re speculating that the game under ZeniMax Media and Bethesda will probably end up exclusively for Xbox and Microsoft Windows titles.

Another question is, is it worthed for Microsoft to make Elder Scroll and other titles exclusive? I mean there’s a lot of Elder Scroll and other Bethesda title players who play the game on PlayStation. For that specific reason, this could be potentially Bethesda games not going to be an exclusive Xbox and Microsoft Windows title. So it gives a PlayStation player who plays Elder Scroll and other Bethesda franchise a room for hope.

The conclusion is we don’t know the deal. It could be all exclusive for Xbox and Microsoft Windows, maybe this is a strategy for Microsoft for getting more money, is Xbox winning against PlayStation? Probably. Remember the price Microsoft bought is $7.5 billion so they need to maximize that opportunity to make money. I hope Xbox can balance things out in the console war and personally I’m in team Xbox.
